Well, since I find myself tracking down hot deals on tech goodness everyday, I thought I'd start sharing a daily super hot item sort of thing.

So here's the first one...

Dell has a samsung 24" lcd monitor with 5ms response time and full 1080p hd resolution bundled with the logitech mk300 wireless desktop mouse and keyboard combo for $198.99

http://accessories.u...f0fp25535c0s558

I can't gaurantee there will be a great deal everyday, but when there's a great deal, I'll post

There is also this monitor, seems like not many people I personally know know about it, http://www.newegg.co...317&Tpk=samsung . I have one and my brother in law has one, as well as a huge number of people at QuakeCon. But on top of Newegg putting it on sale a lot Frys Electronics puts it on sale in their weekly ads regularly now. Dell also sells an identical monitor with their name on it and I think the base has more movement.

Today's deal is a little sketchy. We have a clearance graphics card @ newegg.com

The card is a GTS250 512mb by Sparkle (which i normally wouldn't recommend brand wise).
The card itself normally goes for 139.99, but is currently going for 114.99 in cart.
An interesting bit about this card, it doesn't have the normal plastic BS heatsink cover with the crap fan at the back of the fan that we're used to seeing on 95% of the 200 series cards, instead it goes with a dual fan/heatpipe design with tons of copper fins. +points for design!

The main reason that this card is the daily deal though is the fact that for the next week, purchasers get a free pair of Wow+3D glasses ($60 value)
And here comes the sketchy part of the deal.... the glasses retail for $60 on the newegg site, but they look like the paper versions you get at the movie theater? I'm not entirely sure what's going on there, but if the glasses are the real deal that we've seen nvidia pushing on demo at all the electronics stores, this is definately worth a look.

and here's the link ^^...

http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814187075

Also of note... you can combo up with a windows 7 professional system builder's disc in 32 or 64bit and save $20 on that here:
http://www.newegg.co...eSize=10&page=1

I'd also like to take a minute to comment on the slue of 3D 'tech' coming out. There are about 6 different 'technologies' currently in development for displaying 3d graphics because there is no clearly defined spec for it yet. This means we're in for another blueray/hddvd scenario. I personally suggest waiting to see who wins. Also, there are a few products in development that either don't need the blue/red part of the glasses, aor don't even need the glasses all together. So as a general recommendation I would advise people to wait for now in regards to the whole 3D graphics movement, but heck, those glasses are free right? ;)

Took me all day to track down something post-worthy, but luckily I have nothing better to do at work.

Currently Microcenter has the new i5 750 processor for $149.99!

http://www.microcent...duct_id=0317379

that's 50 clams cheaper than newegg right now, and you get local pickup (you can have it today)

sorry, there hasn't been anything worth posting last few days, and believe me, I spend at least an hour and a half looking every day just for the purpose of posting here before it reaches slickdeals.net lol

Office Max has the HP dv2 series 12" laptop with AMD NEO cpu for $519.00 and free shipping.

http://www.officemax...550312#homepage

This is an awesome light weight laptop with some nice kick. Vista brings down it's performance quite a bit, but it's advertised to come with the windows 7 upgrade. I speak from experience, this laptop makes a very nice travel companion. It has no built in rom drive, instead it actually comes with an external usb dvd/rw combo drive. The laptop is estetically appealing and offers some nice specs for the size and weight.

Originally $650 at newegg and officemax, the current office max price is a good 30$ less than newegg and they are also offering some incentives;
20% off targus and belkin accessories...
$80 off Microsoft Office home and student 2007 edition.

A good deal for anyone about to head off to college ;)

also, check back later today, im anticipating a good shellshocker this afternoon (thanks to the newegg mailing list)

so I called it... sorta

Newegg's evening shellshocker is the CoolerMaster Stacker case for only $129.99 (normally $200)

http://www.newegg.co...ellShocker.aspx

and yes... that's free shipping.

Don't forget to combo up for a windows 7 install disc to save an extra $20

Happy deal hunting ;)

Antec is apparently trying to show some love...

you can find most antec cases and power supplies on sale from the retailers (I'm guessing manufacturer insentives are at work here... which is basically a rebate for the retailer instead of the end user) Newegg has got some awesome prices on these items right now

http://www.newegg.co...pe=&srchInDesc=

But, microcenter isn't looking to be out-done, they're offering alot of the same deals (you get to have the item today instead of waiting for shipping) and even beat newegg on a couple of prices (by a whole 2$... that's 2 burgers from the dollar menu folks!), but be careful, microcenter is being overly stingy on a couple of the cases so double check both sites before making a purchase.

The target in Grapevine off of 114/121 has 3 TomTom GPS units at half price!

These are great gps units and make awesome x-mas gifts. 2 were priced at $125~ and 1 was priced around $99. You have to check the clearance end-cap at the rear of the aisle in electronics.

I check these end-caps every time I'm at target and i've scored some sweet gifts including a 7" digital photo frame for 30 bucks (had a high res, don't remember specs lol) so always check your clearance ;)

Just spotted a great deal involving 2 of the hottest games of the year.

Moder Warfare 2 and Left 4 Dead 2

Modern Warfare 2 with $20 amazon credit
http://www.amazon.co...57343469&sr=1-1

L4D2 for $45 at Amazon
http://www.amazon.co...57343309&sr=1-2

You can buy both at amazon and save 25 bucks.

or

You can buy MW2 at Walmart and get a $20 gift card
http://www.walmart.c...uct_id=11332037

and L4D for $50
http://www.walmart.c...uct_id=11983429

The Amazon dead is better....man oh man i am thinking hard about it....who all is buying these 2 games?

Traditionally Best Buy and Frys go all out during the months of November and December and put hot games on sale for 25 bucks at Best Buy and 35 or 40 at Frys. 3 years in a row i've waited for those deals to come around. It's how i got Battlefield 2142, and the Orange Box when they first came out for $25 bucks each. To wait or not to wait...that is the question.

But i figured i should share in case anyone wanted to save money and get the stuff on day 1 + shipping.

Check back tomorrow morning, newegg shellshocker should have a solid state hard drive. Should be interesting to see what price tag it will carry.

Also, I apologize for being slow to keep this thread alive lately. I've been busy on our back-end code ;)
