Wondering what of all the useful feedback in this thread will be used tomorrow?
the internal bit torrent?
new games to play? Fear was fun, TF2 is ok, Gun game is ok (the issue is with the warmups being an hour and then playing another freaking hour of it. boring)
priceless tourneys. why? because just like Spiked stated we don't want people to not have access to the prizes based on whether or not they have the game. i think the same should apply to skill level. In reality 2 or 3 people are soooo good that the rest of us don't stand a chance to win. Raffle are about lunch, everyone has the same opportunity to win.
Just raffle things in between tourney.
I would like to see progress made on this...wish more people came to the forum. there is still time to work on this to make it better for everyone.

Due to time issues and real-life "bs" alot of this have not yet been addressed. Also, some of them hinged on a new staff member who will not be able to make it at the last minute. Nacho is our new network specialist, and b/c I have not been able to work directly with him yet, and he will not be able to make it to this event.... the following things will not be in place:
internal website (updated... we have it, it needs updating)
internal BT server
anything else internal related to web crap
yes im not being specific.... i really dont' want to get people's hopes up on something that can't be delivered, but there are several things in the works to make things go more smoothly at the lans and they really depend on me having enough spare time to do them.
We hope to have the bit about prizes taken care of.
Also, depending on how much I manage to get done today and tomorrow morning, hopefully the 1 hour warmups will be taken care of as well, with 1 caveat. Those who don't pay attention will be shit out of luck. Most of the delays on starting tournaments are due to people being down right stupid and or baligerent. If we announce a tournament starting in half an hour and you still don't have the game installed TOO BAD. We're going to start on time from now on unless the fault lies on me for something stupid like not knowing how to keep people outside the lan off the server. (hopefully i have more sense than that >.<)
So yes, I am listening... and we have been talking about how to handle many of these things xD

I feel some of this stuff should be easy to implement and not too time intensive.
Since you mentioned the idea, have you ever done the lan torrenting before? what software do you use for that? is it free? is the client free?
I think that is a must if you want things to run on time. also if it's a share game we need very specific install instructions in a text file as part of the transfer...that way people don't have to yell across the room how to figure out a problem.
I know you are listening, but one man can't do it all. I'm not a networking wizard.

You will be able to use any BT client you wish with the setup.
It may not seem time consuming, but don't overlook my other obligations over at LSD-Gaming.net
I am spread very thin and I'm doing what I can to accomplish the most reasonable and rewarding tasks first across the board.
There is much being done that is not immediately visible to our attendees (in reference to PLR) in the way of our registration system, the administration backend, and so forth.
Jump onboard my going motto...
"Aiming to have that done by next LAN"
