Well if you didn't already know, I have been taking Cisco network academy classes at my local college. after finishing the CCNA classes and starting CCNP classes I decided to start building out my own lap with whatever I can find at a decent price. So far I have amassed a halfway decent lab and it isn't even done yet.

so far I have a small stack of Three 2620XM routers, a 12 port 2950g switch and Two 2980g switches. I know it is a little half-ass to have the 2980g's since they fun CATOS instead of IOS, but I got a great deal on them (less than $50 piece) I now have enough ports for a 100+ seat lan (the 2980g have Eighty 10/100 ports plus TWO gigabit ports for fiber or copper with the right modules), a router that might be able to handle the load, and enough knowledge to configure them to (hopefully) avoid switching and routing loops.
